Many people have seen & heard the general upstairs in the owners living quarters. He is the general who once lived there. In the main dining room there is a woman in a white flowing dress that is seen throughout; many times you can see her in the mirror of a large buffet/bureau. Also, down stairs where the new bar was built there is a hallway that has a rock wall on one side that leads to a storage room, many people have reported feeling a terrible cold feeling and have seen a figure either in the hallway or the storage room.

The Dover Mills / Next to the Cocheco River - Dover,New Hampshire
Many years ago the
mill caught on fire. A lot of it burned down and many people died in
the mills. Now when you are just standing outside of it after dark,
when everyone is gone and all the offices are closed, you can see
strange lights coming from higher-level rooms. You also hear very
strange noises, which can be identified as machines turning on and off.
At first they are quieter but when listening for about five minutes,
one very loud machine turns on. If you look in a few of the basement
windows, you can see one light on in the whole basement. No one goes
down there all day and no one goes in at night because the basement
entrance is blocked off, but a light is always on. When entering the
building in either of the two towers, if you are to sit on the stairs
alone, you can hear faint noises, which are undetermined, however,
there is no one else in the tower to create such noises.

Hannah is her name. This
descendant of Valentine Hill is believed to be the home's most restless
spirit. Over the years we have found Hannah to be quite fond of
electronics and to enjoy playing hide and seek with a variety of
inordinate objects. It is believed that Hannah does not like change and
makes this very well known when new equipment with a power cord is
brought on to the property. This often times has forced the Inn to seek
outside assistance with help for something as simple today as a new
computer or copy machine which has stumped our vendors as to why
certain items will not properly work. The numbers have appeared
backwards on a calculators ten key. While printing one page from a
computer several pages have began printing even after the computer and
printer were turned off and unplugged leaving the printer without power
continuing to print for nearly twenty minutes until the paper was
gone. Hannah has a special affection towards some of the Inns
employees. The Inn is staffed 24 hours a day therefore the Inn has an
employee stay overnight. On one occasion, an employee was sleeping to
be awoken by someone playing with her hair. Aware that Hannah is often
around, she simply tucked her hair into her nightgown and told Hannah
to go to bed. On another occasion another employee was fast asleep,
again, awoken by the sound of someone walking around our front parlor.
Quickly the employee went downstairs and found every drawer in the
armoire, desk and filing cabinet pulled out by exactly one inch. On
occasion Hanna has shown herself. One evening a former Chef was working
in the food and beverage office late into the evening. Shortly after
1:00am the Chef locked the office and was making way up the stairs from
the Tavern to leave when a movement happened. Below the staircase is a
railing that looks behind the bar. In looking down to see what the
movement was the Chef was shocked to see Hannah standing behind the bar
area looking up at the Chef. Often times locks with deadbolts have a
way of locking themselves while no one is near. While a party from a
local insurance company were dining in our Maples dining room during
the holiday season the entire party witnessed a glass from a table
across the room where not a sole was near, pick itself up off the table
and smash against the side of the table to land in pieces on the
floor. Much of the Staff and Guests alike have witnessed the
shadow, face, touch or vintage clothing of this magnificent woman named
Hannah. Given the history of the Inn it is believed that several
spirits other than Hannah reside in this home today.

Sunset Beach Woods / "Uncle Milt's Place" - Eaton Center
A grave stone. Lots of orbs and white mists. A demon dog at one part of the
woods will give chase. It was a Boy's Camp. Now it's an abandoned ghost
town. With lots of cellar holes. At one part of the woods you can get
really lost like a maze where nothing looks familiar. Once there was
grave stones in there but people took them like a long time ago. You
can hear growling. And be careful of quick sand.

Bear Hill Road - Hillsboro,New Hampshire
This place is on Bear Hill road it is a very old house, most of the kids call it "the plague house" a long time ago people who were infected with the plague virus or any other virus that people couldn’t cure, they would leave them in that house to die. They took the bodies out in the woods and buried them deep so that animals wouldn’t get to them and spread the virus. soon after they took the bodies out, they too would die themselves and fall where ever they landed. Now you can see what everyone calls "the white ghost" it will come around only when you do, also how can you forget the painful moans and screams.

Knight Chapel is a major hotspot. The chapel itself is home to a
very unhappy spirit and it's presence is almost overwhelmingly strong
as you get within 15 feet of the Chapel. Near the chapel is the

Youth Detention Center Abandoned Building - Manchester,New Hampshire
Separated from the rest of the youth detention center facilities is an older brick building in a small field surrounded by woods. Not only are all possible entrances boarded up tight, but all holes through which one could even peer inside the place have been sealed in one manner or another. There have been reports of odd humming noises and other faint sounds coming from inside, and some people who have forcibly removed boards from windows to look inside reported seeing an odd, dim light.
Noises are mainly reported to come from the basement entrance, which seemed to be locked up most heavily.

Many sightings of 'misty people' have
been reported. It is said that if you walk from the front entrance to
the middle, you feel like you're wading in water. Park the car across
the street and it'll feel like you're being pushed back from the
cemetery. Stand at the perimeter and you can hear voices from the back,
right-hand corner. Tombstone dates go back as far as the early 1800's.
A black hooded figure has been seen on several occasions.
There are also areas around this cemetery, in the woods, and also where the new homes that are built, that are haunted. There have been many, many things that have happened in this area. There are glittering seen in many places in the woods, as well as scary sounds and shadows. Peoples voices seem to be heard, but not understood. You can hear things, assumed un-human, moving around in the area. Horses and dogs sometimes shy at different areas both day & night or refuse to go anywhere near some areas. Franklin Pierce College / The Manor - Rindge,New Hampshire
At the turn of the century, what most know today as The Manor, was previously a brothel run by a woman named EdnaMcGuinness.
McGuinness hung a large portrait of herself in the stairwell leading to the second floor. When McGuinness passed away the building was sold but the portrait was never taken down. During the late 1990's an employee of the college was cleaning the manor after a banquet and heard a piano playing. However, there had not been a piano in The Manor for many years. The employee went searching for the noise and didnt come across anything unusual until she walked by the stairwell and saw the apparition of a woman holding a baby in her right hand walking down the stairs. The woman was wearing a glowing dress and humming. To this day students and faculity members have seen and heard very strange things in and around The Manor. Some say McGuinness can be seen looking out the 2nd story window towards Pearly Pond.

At the base of scenic Mount Washington sits a glorious testament to wealth and love. The Mount Washington Hotel was built in 1902 (after 2 years of construction), a show of the wealth owner Joseph Stickney had amassed through his investments in coal mining and the Pennsylvania Railroad.
Stickney spared no expense on the massive structure, using what was then state-of-the-art construction methods and heating, plumbing and private phones. A staff of 350 people waited on the guests—sometimes outnumbering them. It was truly a wealthy man’s paradise. And Joseph Stickney’s wife, Carolyn, loved the hotel nearly as much as she loved her husband.
The hotel served many well-to-do guests, including the Vanderbilt family. And regardless of who attended dinner each night in the hotel’s grand dining room, Carolyn Stickney was always the finest dressed attendee. It is rumored that Mrs. Stickney would hide on the balcony and look at the hotel’s guests as they filed in—carefully contemplating what dress and jewels to wear in order to outshine them all. After playing the nightly “belle of the ball,” Carolyn and Joseph would dine privately by candlelight, snatching at romantic moments.
Then, tragically in December 1903, Joseph’s heart suddenly gave out and he died, leaving his grieving widow to roam a gigantic monument to their love. Carolyn stayed on at the hotel, wandering the well-manicured grounds where she and Joseph shared so much happiness. Carolyn eventually remarried Prince Lucinge of France and moved to France until the prince also passed away. When he died, she again returned to Mount Washington to spend many happy times there. She died many years later, owning the hotel until her death, but rumor is that she still wanders through the elegant hotel and its rambling grounds.
Visitors have reported hearing a ghostly romantic melody playing through the hotel, and some say they’ve glimpsed a woman fitting Carolyn’s description peeking down from the balcony. Perhaps she still watches the visitors to the hotel, wondering about what it might take to stun them now…
Orbs show up in photos and television channels change themselves in the “Tower Suites” that Carolyn supposedly frequents. Perfume drifts into rooms and tubs start filling themselves, according to some guests. Mysterious lights are sometimes seen and although the hotel staff has been taught not to tell ghostly tales, some hint at odd occurrences.
In room 314 there supposedly still exists a hand turned and handcrafted four-poster bed that Carolyn shared with her first husband. Some have reported seeing a woman on the bed’s edge, slowly brushing her hair. Could it be that Carolyn Stickney still longs for some form of rest, even in spirit form?
